PEOPLE OVERDOSED
AND DIED.
LAST YEAR
93,000
THAT IS A
INCREASE FROM
THE YEAR BEFORE
THE CDC SAYS THIS IS PARTLY BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC,
BUT MAINLY BECAUSE OF FENTANYL.
THERE IS A SOLUTION:
NALOXONE.
NALOXONE IS AN INTRANASAL DRUG THAT WILL REVERSE AN OVERDOSE. EVEN A FENTANYL OVERDOSE.
Magnolia's brother, Marlon, died of an overdose when he was 19. Elliot is Magnolia's friend. He's also 19 and is alive today because of naloxone. They are trying to get the word out about naloxone.

One more thing...
Magnolia's mom Jen, is on the board of directors of Homeless Health Care Los Angeles. She joined the board when her son died. Part of why Jen is so committed to HHCLA is because HHCLA distributes naloxone for free to drug users in Los Angeles.
So, in addition to raising awareness, we are hoping you will help us raise money so we can give out more naloxone. It's simple/not simple. But it's worth trying to understand because naloxone is literally saving lives.
If you are still like wha????, check out this clip from Elliot. He can explain it way better than we can! And if you want more info on what we are doing, you can reach us at development@hhcla.org or 213.739.1936.
